I was under the impression that when you scratched it sort of went like this:

Pre scratch it was Unknown Adult Ancestors —> Known Troll Ancestors as Kids

Then post scratch it was Known Adult Ancestors —> New Troll Kids.

So the first ancestors were basically booted out and replaced with the first session’s trolls a.k.a. Mindfang, Dolorosa, ect who became the ancestors we know today. Then there was an entirely new set of trolls born who played the game in the scratched session. So it wasn’t a switch of ages, it was a movement in a cycle constantly taking the old out of existence and bringing the new into existence.

Which is why i’m confused when I see that Nana is the new kid character, and the old kids are implied to be adults (with the SBAHJ movie). I could have been wrong in my initial assumption of the scratch cycle of course, but that would mean that in the original troll session, Karkat and everyone else were the ancestors. Which would be interesting but there was nothing to imply that as far as I know.

I also don’t know what everyone is talking about with the new troll kid? I had to watch the flash on the computer in the lobby of my apartment complex because mine won’t play flash like a DOUCHE BAG and I can’t go down to rewatch it. So i’m hoping to see a cap of that soon. Also, can someone who can real trollian tell me what the monitor said? I could only manage to make out the “to” in the middle.

Either way i’m very excited about the rest of the act. I’m wary of it being played out mostly by the new kid guardians, so I hope that most of the action will be a combination of the kids (adults) and the new kids, but still. I trust Hussie and his storytelling skills have never failed me, and i’m really looking forward to what he’s going to craft out of this. It’s refreshing for some new characters to show up for him to play with!

At least, i’m assuming so. There are 12 symbols total because of the 16 kids and trolls 4 overlap (John and Tavros are both Breath, Aradia and Dave are Time, Kanaya and Jade are Space and Rose and Vriska are Light) and, along with the 4 already up for purchase, there are 8 spots left in the store graphic.

We already know what Mind looks like so it’s only a matter of time before Hussie either introduces more god tiers into the comic somehow (maybe after the scratch or some huge plot twist where everyone gets their tiger) or just releases the official symbols on merch for the people who didn’t get their tiger but still want the symbol.

I wonder what Blood and Rage will look like…
