Ah, my favorite…I think it may be Choke or Invisible Monsters. Just because they’ve both stuck with me so much.
I adore his writing because what I look for in a book is less about a flowing narrative and more about prose style work and single line or multi-line statements that stick with me. If the story is amazing, great, but when a book makes me take out a highlighter and start highlighting my favorite passages, that’s what gets me, and his works are full of that. All my copies of his books, or at least the ones ive gotten around to reading, are full to the bring with highlights.
